Hi everyone.
In a way, today was a step backwards. It is the first day of my hospital stay in which I have felt worse than the previous day instead of better. I did a major throw-up shortly after lunch. Took a Gravol and then let it all rest and fortunately everything else has stayed down so far.
Norm and Gail Tompsett came this afternoon. Because my roommate was trying to sleep, we did our visiting in the lounge down the hall. It is very pleasant to sit there and look out over Lake Ontario towards Wolfe Island. If you ever come to see me and can't find me in my room, or my washroom, walk around to the lounge to see if I'm there.
Cheryl Stevenson dropped in again just as Norm and Gail were leaving. She lives about a half-hour walk from the hospital so it is fairly easy for her to drop by. She had the pleasure of watching me eat supper. Because I'd had the other incident after lunch, all I ate was tomato soup, jello and apple juice.
That was followed by (well, if you really want to know, hold down the ctrl key and press the + key a few times) my second bowel movement in the last 8 days. Truly a great accomplishment. Now I hope I can keep my stomach stable overnight.
Presumably the doctors have had their meeting about me and will be in tomorrow to talk about what they will do and when they will do it. So, check back tomorrow.
Thanks again for all your support.
Ron
